I WENT TO MELBOURNE UNI OPEN DAY~
note: didn't bring along big ass camera with me, only my compact cam
for fun and of coz, for FREE stuffs.
obviously it has nothing to do with me since the courses offered now are totally different from what i'm doing. thanks to the oh-so-great melbourne model. yesh, i'm being sarcastic just incase you can't tell.
there's me in bright red jumper which was a HUGE mistake because i'm so recognizable. you can't go to the booth for free pens twice when you are so noticeable. uugh.
then, there's my accomplice, Janet Tham. we made a good team. she would distract the person incharged by showering them with questions while i would be smuggling pens, candies, yoyos and whatnot into my showbag.
anyhow, it was fun sniffing around.
back to the Open Day, i thought it was pretty crowded but janet said there weren't as many people this year ... or she meant there weren't as much free gifts this year.
i have no idea, so judge for yourself.

beside the usual course-booklets-snatching and questions-asking-at-booths, there were some interesting events too.
i saw a few musicians playing some music at south lawn. nobody really pay attention to them but they got the camera crew so it's all good.
then, there was dance performance in Union House where u get to see hotskinnychics and sixpacksguys dancing to the boooty moving songs.
see hotskinnychics. i seriously thought the yellow skirt was a fashion disaster. can someone call the fashion police, PLEASE?!

after walking around, looking out for more free stuffs, we heard some Starwars soundtrack playing really loudy, so we went to look for the source and found this...
TOASTINATOR???!!! by some microengineering students. me and janet seriously laughed so bad.
as you can see, the two guys in lab coats and fancy glasses were "bragging" about their TOASTINATOR which is only some crappy props where there were people toasting the breads BEHIND the props. they even said things like "no one should get near the TOASTINATOR because of the strong radiation".
you have no idea how lame it was
thats it for Open day, i managed to get a helium balloon from the psychology building!!!

the things we got including..
countless candies & chocs & sweets, pens which last us our 5 years course, yoyos which light up when they spin!, buttons, rubber wrist band, bookmarks and helium balloon~ weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~
PS: another weekend flew by and not much was being done. argh.
PPS: may i present you the HORNY DUO= Jess & me! read Jess's blog for what happened. it's about us "accidentally" saw our hot neighbour showering and crazy reactions after that.
