I'm not overreacting.

Meme Proposal | Tim * Audrey from Crazy Monkey Studio on Vimeo.

I watched this video out of boredom and I ended up crying like a baby.
Seriously sobbing, gasping for air kind.
Jeeeez.

The video flooded the newsfeeds in Facebook for more than a week already and I dismissed it, thinking it's another lame proposal video from Malaysia.
But, after watching it out of keh-poh-ness just now, I'm absolutely amazed by the camera work, lighting, and the music used. Actually... especially the song choice! Good call on using Christina Perri's "A Thousand Years". So cheesy yet it fits so perfectly.
In a nutshell, I'm touched.

Honestly, the concept is not out-of-the-worldly new, I mean.. the flash cards (an idea stolen from chick-flicks such as Love Actually), memes (Everyone loves memes. No kidding), sneaky collaborations with friends for the element of surprise (more or less, it's a must for proposal), these are not something to shout about. Besides, I'm not a loyal reader of neither Tim's nor Audrey's blogs so I'm not "emotionally attached" to both of them through following their blogs, behaving as if I knew them in person. So, there's no valid reason for me to tear up like a little girl right?

But, it's the sincerity of the proposal that brought me to tears.
It's simple, thoughtful and most importantly, it gets the message through and it gets the job done. heh.
I think, it's perfect.

PS:
I have always loved weddings. I'm a very idealistic person, I know.

PPS:
I played the video for the Christina Perri's song on youtube and regretted it. Because I didn't realize it's from Twilight.
Urggghh.
Same thing happened to Bruno Mars's "It Will Rain".
WHY TWILIGHT WHY
