My food quota for the week is busted

i had a very happening day today!
because Seth is visiting from malaysia so me and jessmine were bringing him around for shopping and foood

our plan was to go to Bridge road as jessmine and seth wanted to shop for clothes!
however, we woke up late which means we didn't get much time to shop at all!

i tell you. this is the thing that i hate most about melbourne. all the shops close at 5pm during weekends. wtf is that??!!! huh huh huh? why can't they extend the time till 10pm??? so we can get extra 5 hours of shopping time??!!!

anyway, we went Bridge road for lunch =)
we obviously didn't know where to eat but just went into one that was most crowded
it turned out that, the restaurant was very goooooooooood!
the food was VERY NICE OKAY! like the spaghetti was one of the best i ever had!

the restaurant is called, Richmond Hill

we had no choice but to head back to the city
while on the tram, there was a fight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WE WITNESSED A FIGHT ON THE TRAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
a fight that involved shouting, women screaming and crying, bloody faces, head banging against metal poles and fucking goose bumps all over my body.
omfg la

thank god the fight happened at the back of the tram while we were at the front
but too bad we didn't find out what really triggered the fight


after that, we decided to go to Lindt Chocolate Cafe!
YAAAAAAAAAAAAY~
after all the hype and everyone asking, "have you tried the newly opened Lindt cafe yet?", we finally made it to the shop and enjoyed fucking-licious hot chocolate on a rainy day
i saw that cafe in Sydney last year but we didn't have time to try it out.


my verdict? the chocolate dishes were worth the hype and definitely not overrated!


don't be fooled by the ceiling, the cafe was actually pretty damn small.
we had to Q to get a table

we ordered the hot chocolate. it is a must, i believe =)

empty cup with a pot of warm fresh milk and melted milk chocolate


before i proceed, look how cute is jessmine's gummy bear charm accidentally dipped in the white milk foam!

okay, back to the hot milk chocolate

like it puts Max Brenner's, Koko Black's and San churros's (especially San Churros's) hot milk chocolates to shame!
no matter how much milk you add, it still tasted awesome

it's $6.50 by the way. not very expensive actually.

at first, we ordered the milk chocolate and hazel nut flavoured. it comes in two. $2 each.

the lighter one is milk chocolate and the darker one is hazelnut.

My Jackets and I

i love jackets.
i'm forever looking for jackets and i'm forever buying them.
this is because:

1. i don't have to try them on in the fitting room so i don't have to take anything off but only putting the jackets on
2. what you wear inside your jacket can be the same old tee shirt but once you change the jacket, it's like a whole new look already
3. jackets keep me warrrrm. i'm super afraid of cold!
4. jackets don't need frequent washing and i always send mine for dry cleaning so basically, i don't have to wash them =D
5. my parents are more than willing to let me splurge on jackets than daily clothes.
   
6. lastly, jackets cover my fats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How time flies

i've been wanting to do up a blog post with pictures of Proms i'd attended from year 2005-2009. within that 4 years, which is not very long i reckon, things have change and are still changing rather drastically. well, i believe change is good =)

i couldn't help but laugh whenever i go through my old pictures. it's fun!



SMK Bukit Mewah Prom 2005
this was my very first prom. it wasn't great. i didn't know a thing bout make-up except for putting on red eye shadow because i was WAY TOO into the My-Chemical-Romance-and-i-am-so-emo phase. that was the prom that i tripped even in like 1 inch kitten heels. damn it

and i was still wearing glasses because i used to believe glasses was very emo too

and i wore white socks and black heels to the prom which is still a joke to jess and shan. but hey! Burberry is doing it for their campaign okay!

Trinity Hollywood Ball 2006
what's different for this ball is that it cost a bomb, a very big one, compared to my high school prom in malaysia. looking back, we had fun! but in looks wise, i didn't look very much different from my high school ball except for ditching my glasses. the main reason why? it's because fake eyelashes weren't being popularized yet. bummer.

however, i really did enjoy the ball and the meals were really fantastic!

i even went for the after party @ Platform One. that was my first ever clubbing experience! bwahahaha
worth mentioning of course!

this prom could barely been called a "Prom" because the place was small with no decent lighting. that explains why most of the camwhoring was done in the bathroom. wtf. BUT the plus point was, I GOT TO DRIVE TO THE PROM! with my high school buddies, for the very first time!

and another virgin experience for me =)


seriously, thank god for short hair and thank god for fake lashes. Hallelu-jah~





ICSS Moulin Rouge Ball 2008

This ball was pretty awesome. loved the venue, loved the company, loved the performances (drag queen + hot dancers in lingerie HELLOOO!) and loved the after parteh

oh, that after parteh was shan's first clubbing experience~

everyone kept saying that i looked best in the bob hair for this ball which everyone agreed to be more girlie. =.=
but i really like my short do!
i don't know... you tell me!

Law Ball 2009
this is by far the craziest ball i had ever attended and we totally had the awesomest time. the ball itself was fun enough WITHOUT an after party!
well, maybe... partly... this is the ball with the most eye candies. YUM!

i went in 5-inch-heels and that didn't stop me from jumping and dancing around all night long!

BUT, seriously... i won't deny the fact that my hair was a tad too short for going to a ball.
not that there's a standard, but it's just stereotyped that way...
BALL/PROM = heavy make up + long silky hair + pretty dress + high high heels + CHANEL!
okay, maybe that Chanel part is optional =)

balls and proms are fun. it's like the peak point of my university life graph, with "months" for the x-axis and "excitement" for the "y-axis".
