i went for Sherlyn's house warming party/pot luck as she is no longer staying one floor above me, she had moved to a super homey and spacious home along st. kilda road

me and jessmine took a train ride to Clayton to pay Corrinne and Cynthia a visit
i love the suburb!
homey houses with garden and you get to drive around, probably a MINI
bwhahahah (eh, a basic mini cooper is only like AUSD$35k here lor!!! have to tell my dad!)
plus, you get to go Chadstone like you go Mid Valley in malaysia! with FREE PARKING!

Food Craving: PASTA ZANMAI

oh meee gosh
you know what
one of the few major reasons of me wanting to go back to malaysia over the holidays in june is none other than...
the FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD

the food in malaysia is awesome beyond all reasons and the amount of varieties we have back home is countless!
you may have been staying in KL for the past 20 years and STILL you won't be able to try every single restaurant/stall/cafe out there.
well, let alone the food we have in different states!

don't get me started on what are my favourites


at the very moment [actually, for the past few weeks], i' AM craving for the food from PASTA ZANMAI
love it to pieces!
i also love the other chain restaurant under the same company, called SUSHI ZANMAI in The Gardens which serves delicious and exquisite japanese food at middle range prices.

back to Pasta Zanmai
its situated in Mid Valley, first floor, beside Madame Kwan's and near Toy 'R Us
they serve japanese infused pastas and pizzas
SUPER YUMMY OKAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
they have so many mouth watering selections completed with pictures(!!) on the menu that i had a really hard time choosing what i wanted to eat!

their salad was good
the spaghetti was good
the pizza was heavenly
the dessert was nice
the tortilla hand roll was out of ordinarily good!
well, everything there was tasteh!

the best thing about it is, they not only serve pastas and pizzas but also rice dishes and noodles which is a plus point for me because i have super tradisional parents who only consume asian food =]

me and mom went there with my aunt and cousin, so we ordered quite a fair lot!

oh gawd, look at my creamy shitake mushroom spaghetti with char-grilled chicken breast
i'm salivating

also, we ordered this jug of iced fruit tea which was a much better version of iced lemon tea with loadsa fruits pieces in it that you can snack on


my cina mom ordered garlic fried rice with fried chicken pieces
waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa~ love japanese rice!


my aunt ordered this spaghetti in clam soup
omfg
the soup is soooooooooooooooooooooo tasteh! with strong clams flavour!


my couzy ordered this cold spaghetti noodle with sesame sauce
very special and nice!


then we ordered a pizza with unagi and hot spring egg
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
THIS DISH WAS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i tell you!
the hot spring egg yolk sauce was ooooozing out when you poked it
the egg yold sauce + unagi + mayo + seaweed + spring onion + unagi sauce = heaven!
no kidding

we couldnt finish so we had to take away!


we ordered that for dessert
3 different flavoured ice-cream: black sesame (I LOVE BLACK SESAME ICE-CREAM), green tea and chocolate
so nice okay!
and there so many other choices as well!



after that day, me and mom went back to the same restaurant the other time too! because we love it too much!
whoever that's going to mid valley, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! do pay this restaurant a visit!

just try googling "Pasta Zanmai" and you will get loads of blog reviews and pictures
most of them are positive reviews, no doubt about it!

me WE LOVE CAMBERWELL MARKET

me, irina, jessmine, liyin and ruth went to Camberwell Market yesterday in the morning and....
WE LOVE IT!
we all agreed in unison that we would go there again next Sunday!
well, not really...... Bah, when reality kicks in

we managed to snatch alot of bargains! especially Jessmine and Liyin, who totally went crazy digging through racks and boxes of stuffs!
despite the things being incredibly cheap, the clothes are rather fashionable and in pretty good condition.
i mean, those dresses or jackets were only priced at $2 or $5 .... what more can you ask for?


for those who may not be familiar with what Camberwell market is about, let me explain...
it's actually a big car park space where these people who want to sell off their things, made an early booking for a car lot. then, they will park the car there and set up their stall to get rid of anything.. everything.

the things you can find there range from clothings to toys to pots to home appliances... in fact... if you name something, there's a pretty big chance that you would be able to find it there.


also, most of the sellers are selling their stuffs at rather low prices.
for other cheapskaters out there, you can even bargain OR wait till the 10 minutes before the stalls close then the seller will slash the prices off to get rid of everything!
from past experiece, i got a dress and a pair of pants for 50 cents and irina got books for FREE!


just note that, keep your mind open when you go there and don't have high expectation okay?
then, you would be surprised by what you are able to find in there


however, yesterday started off badly as it was drizzling, we prayed really hard on our way there, hoping the rain would stop and it did!
the sun came out to lift our mood!

first thing's first...
i ran over to the hot dog van and bought a chicken hot dog to share between me and jessmine.
the hot dog was huge! and tasted really goooood! especially the bread which was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.
definitely recommended to anyone who wanna grab something to eat while you're there
Irina tried on the donuts and she said they were good! we must try that when we go again, hopefully SOON!

i hate to admit but i'm quite a fan of the story because i'd watched the taiwanese version (yesh, wtf), japanese version, anime version and now the korean version!
in my opinion, the korean version is the best of all! no doubt!!!
i finished the 16 eps in one night and watch for the second time when li and ellie came over to sleepover.
of course, both of them also cursed by the charm of the boys.
bwhahahah
it's funny to watch how li and ellie very willingly, re-watching the sweet moments in the show
