Sooo Non-Halal

gawsh, i have to stay at home to rest today because i was so tired
i followed my parents down to kl at 5.30am yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

with the promise that i would be rewarded with good food, i followed my parents to kl to sort out some properties issue in kl
waking up at 5am was hideous! reminded me of my high school days!!!

anyway, we departed at 5.45am, reached kl at about 7.30am
we went to 7-11 to grab some light microwavable breakfast and headed to my dad's office for a tour. haha
we waited till 8am to be picked up by my dad's friend's driver and it was an hour drive before we reached the government land office in Shah Alam.

oh man, you know how our malaysian government works... they ALWAYS ask you to wait and wait and wait and wait
damn it
we waited for 2 and a half hours can??!!!
i'd got nothing to do but to watch Ninja Turtle cartoon showing on the wee tv in the waiting area as well as hypnotizing myself with James Blunt's album.
oh yea, i was bored enough to play the Solitaire game in my iPod while listening to songs.
to be honest, i think that latest James Blunt album is good.
now i'm so in love with the songs =]


after we were settled, the driver dropped me and my mom off in The Gardens, the new shopping complex next to mid valley
wow
all the shops there sell so fucking expensive stuffs
seriously
i believe we couldn't afford anything except for 2 scoops of ice-cream from Baskin Robin
we tried their new flavor of the month which is called "Chocolate Trilogy".
omfg. so chocolatey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! choc lovers MUST try that out =]



after that, we took a ktm to KL central to meet up with my dad coz we were going to Hilton hotel for Dim Sum with my dad's friends
the food was just OKAY but the atmosphere there was really good and fancy
the final bill was blood puking though. so fucking expensive. BLEH

after we were finished, we went to The Pavilion AGAIN!!!!!!!

i bought a new Burberry perfume, some United Colors of Benetton shirts and couple of pants, skirts and tees from Esprit
nothing fancy =]

with shopping bags in our hands, we walked over to KL plaza to meet up with my dad
he brought us to this fine restaurant for Spanish food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the food there was awesomely good


the restaurant is called Elcerdo at Jalan Imbi

the reason why i said this post is so not halal because it's about the PORK in this spanish cuisine
there are pictures, drawings, figures, and decorations of pigs everywhere inside.

it was empty when we were there but when we left... the whole place was flooded with customers!!!

the starter was black pig ham served with asparagus, balls of watermelon and some salad
very exquisite


the main course is the roasted suckling pig
we were told that the pig was soaked in white wine for 48 hours!!!!
when it was served, the manager had to slice the pig with a plate!
to show how tender the meant was and how crispy the skin was
then, the most shocking thing was
he had to break the plate by throwing it on to the floor
it's for good luck, he said
and everyone applauded
how fun

therefore, through out the time we were there, we could hear plates breaking the whole night!!!

we also had some salads and fried baby potatoes with bacon as side dishes


we also ordered a special seafood rice. we were told that the rice was imported from spain and all

like italian's risotto

i ordered something called "Hot 'n Cold" which is a scoop of vanilla ice-cream with hot berries in red wine sauce

although i was super full at that time, i still managed to finish every single drip of that ice-cream
it was soooooooooooooooooo good
seriously


i like how the ice-cream melted when the hot sauce was poured on top of it

complete with a EFS 17mm-85mm lens as kit lens which is super brilliant (unlike my cheapass 18mm-55mm) and a 50mm f/1.8 prime lens which is a lens i'm going to get next

we went to Chilis because they serve refillable drinks i love going there and the food is brilliant *cough* and expensive *cough*

it wasnt a very long wait and i got 1 dozen of assorted donuts for a try
i still wouldn't believe how people were going all crazy for J-Co donuts coz...
deep down... i believe KRISPY KREME IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!
besides, i was soooooooooooooooooooo disappointed by Bid Apple donuts which received the same hype as J-Co.
i mean.... seriously, Big Apple donuts are T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i took a bite and had to throw the rest away
yesh, it was THAT bad


however, J-Co donuts are actually of the same caliber with Krispy Kreme!!!!!!!!!!

we had like a small family gathering dinner the previous night
my aunty said she would treat me a meal so we went to this eating place where the food was pretty awesome, i shall say
every dish was really delicious without pushing too hard with shit loads of AJINAMOTO.
we had assam fish, Marmite chicken + salad chicken.... seriously, the roasted pork leg was heavenly
moreover, it's bloody cheap

it was our first time there and we think we would be going back there for more... definitely
